FELINE NUTRITION

Proper nutrition is as important for your cat as it is for you. There are so many types of foods that it can be difficult to choose the best one for your cat. You will find links to several cat food sites below. They are only a few of many and you may want to do more research before choosing a food. I also urge you to consult your veterinarian as well.

I feed my cats Hill's Prescription Diet W/D because Punky and Taffy need a special food to help control their diabetes. It is more convenient for me to feed all 4 of my cats the same food, so Moochy and Geoffy eat it too. While it has some chemicals in it that I would rather not give to my cats, I have not yet found another food that will control their weight as effectively (It contains 9% fiber and nothing else even comes close to that amount.) as this one does. As soon as I find one, they will be eating that instead.

The links I've listed below are to sites that offer natural pet foods. They should be just fine for a cat that doesn't have special dietary needs. If you are changing your cat's diet, please remember to do so slowly. A rapid change could upset the balance of your cat's system and be a serious health risk to him/her.

Please feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions or comments.
